Sweden October 1963
Forgot to add – other shots from this session were used in Beatles Ltd 1964 programme and the UK “Long Tall Sally” EP
“To the toppermost?”
The ascent has officially begun…
If that building can stand that tall…for that long,
then so can The Beatles!
(From this metal…we forge virtue)
Mad Day Out, the early years.
I was a 6-year old, turning 7, in Sweden at this time. Soon they would appear on Drop-In on TV, and shortly after that the first 45 showed up at our house. That was all she wrote.
Btw, that’s Stockholms Stadshus (city hall), where the Nobel Prize is handed out, they are desecrating in the photo. Lol
Now you can probably figure out the meaning behind my signature.
Ok, one more….
The Drop-In performance was filmed and can be seen in whole on Y. T. and in part in the Anthology. The Karlaplan Studios radio show is available as boot, but also in part on the Anthology I CD.
But this is old news to y’all. Lol
I thought it was Mad Day out on my phone until I zoomed it!
What a cool picture.
I keep seeing new stuff. Paul and ringo are weraing traditional northern Swedish Samemossor (Laplanders’ Caps) with large red pom poms. Cool.
