Isn’t it interesting that of all 4 Beatles, Paul was the only truly gifted at live performance. George’s only tour (in 74) was disastrous. John developed some sort of performance anxiety issues. And Ringo, while a great drummer, could never carry an entire, three-hour concert on his own like Paul does.
That’s the same Rickenbacker Paul always used. At that point it still had the original “horseshoe” pickup that was later replaced with a modern “Hi-Gain” pickup (sans chromed plastic hand rest cover) at the Rickenbacker factory. THe original pickup’s magnets no longer held enough of a charge to be usable.
is that a 4001-S?
pick-ups look different
Love Wings! Hoping to meet Henry next year at Beatlefest.
