Awesome rare pics. Gotta love that Japanese Music Mag.. it had the superest rarest exclusive of all pics throughout the 60′s and 70′s. Would love a set of them but I’d need a mortgage for the prices they go for on ebay! Anyone want to scan them up and send along to Tammy please? She will make it worth your while if you do. I’m still getting over the last time she paid me back for a favour I did her. Mums the word Miss Tammy
Yup, June for a WOA reissue, said to be the most deluxe set yet ‘With bells and whistles’. Preceding this in May will be the 7′ of ‘Maybe i’m amazed/Soily’. The deluxe set is said to include the dvd of Rockshow, so knowing Paul and his marketing people we’ll probably had to wait till the next year to purchase a stand alone Rockshow on blu ray, gotta make sure everyone ponys up for the deluxe set first
Wings Over America…
Deluxe???
I think the ‘Deluxe’ campaign is a little young to be going ‘LIVE’…
Wings Over America should be the last album. Doesn’t it deliver a complete representation of the tour’s songlist? This could mean a shortage of legitimate bonus tracks. If soundchecks and rehearsals are all there is…then, Paul should not release a deluxe version. These deluxe editions are supposed to inject some freshness into the catalog. W.O.A. is already longer and more expensive than the typical studio effort. Why would you make it even longer and more expensive, when it never offered anything new(except Soily) to begin with? Since the deluxe editions are obviously not going to be done in chronological order, W.O.A. should be last. And, if the deluxe editions are going to include cd-era titles, then that will mean a lot of LIVE titles…maybe too many. W.O.A. is the LIVE album Paul will be known for… it’s deluxe enough already. An official single disc version(a la “Tripping The Live Fantastic: Highlights”) would be the best way to make this album the powerful document that it always should have been.
I see your point re it coming out before Venus and Speed, but if any album of Paul’s needs an audio overhaul, it’s this one, it’s an abomination audio wise, well .. this and ‘Venus’. I can’t wait for this, and that’s the feel amongst most of my solo fan friends, if this reissue campaign chokes, and there is every possibility it may, at least this will be the ‘Big Wings Job’ .. i want this ‘just’ for the complete ‘Rockshow’ dvd.
VH1 Did show the complete Rockshow movie once around 1997. I did happen to catch it an managed to tape it on VHS. I think it added Richard Corey? I only watched it once than forgot about it. I know I have that damn tape someplace! Someone help me with the numbers that were deleted? Was it just one song?
Well, from what I saw, they played Richard Corey. Not sure about Call me back again. I remember my mouth dropping out when RC was sung as I too had never seen that performance. Honest to God! They broadcast it right around Flaming Pie release here in The United States.

Word is: The Wings over America reissue is coming out this summer!!!!
I too, heard that rumor about WOA coming out via deluxe edition. Anyone care to confirm?
Linda seems to have been the designated “Wings-Hand” person.

I’m pretty certain Richard Corey and Call me back again have never been broadcast, or rebroadcast. They weren’t in the cinema version.
