That is just fucking amazing. A Linda shot, right? Wow.
Damn, so glad you’re back, Tammy.
(does anyone know CPR??? I have fainted)
New, 43 years later. Amazing!
WHOA!! doesn’t even begin to describe it!
Now, this is a picture …. LOVE IT!
What a great way to begin my Thursday morning!
Amazing photo. Actually there are a bunch of new Beatles photos taken by Linda that are available to premium members of Paul’s new Web site. He just added this new collection of photos to his site, and there were at least a dozen photos I’d never seen before, including this one.
What really pleased me was that Paul featured it prominently on this Web site! Very cool.
Opps. I meant, Paul featured it prominently on HIS Web site.
There’ are other photos of John and George in the collection that I’d never seen before, too.
OK, I just went back to look at the collection again on Paul’s site, and some of the photos that were in the collection yesterday have been removed today. When I first clicked through the collection yesterday, there were 2 new shots of John that I’d never seen before and they’re now gone. And a couple photos of George, including one I’d never seen before, have since been removed.
;( Now the collection is back to mostly photos I’d seen before, with maybe 3 new pictures (including this one of Ringo). Annoying.
WHOA! Thanks!
Fantastic!
i saw that photo on facebook this morning – i looove it! louise, maybe the photos are only available to premium members of paul’s site, which i am not.
Awesome shot. Ah, right click and save. Thank you!
Please tammy, post here all the photos! Im dying to see them!
Paul and the only person to ever be 30 and an active Beatle
Wait,he was 29 ,sorry
Something was ‘bugging’ me about this pic and I just figured it out. Paul looks way younger than he should…like a pudgy little happy, hopeful 12 year old. (cherubim???)…Ringo, on the other hand, looks way older than he should. Wise (tired???), old man…almost sad. I do not understand this phenomenon…nor have I ever seen it in a Beatle pic that I can recall.
Look at the eyes…20 year difference.
(I guess I shall have to ponder this a little more…lighter, please)
Kwai: Paul always had beautiful skin. But the larger explanation is probably more that Paul had put on a little weight at this time — certainly he was a lot heavier than during the coke-fueled Sgt. Pepper period — and some of that weight was in his face. That always makes people look younger.
It also could be the angle at which they are posed. Paul is in the light, and Ringo’s face is shaded.
Wow, this is great a Beatle pix I never, ever saw.
Tammy, you out did yourself this week, made me feel very nostalgic, between this new Beatle pix and the picture of John with Scott Muni and the old WNEW FM crew you brought me way back in time. It has been wonderful.
Amazing pic! Very rare… abbey road. And I love the gray background. It really enhances the photos.
It looks to me like they’re wearing make up – this would not be uncommon for a photo shoot, especially an album. I’m not aware of having seen pictures of a make up artist attending to them for the cover. It’s just a hunch – and may be a false lead…!?
Kwai… if Ritchie was overdoing the alcohol consumption even as early as ’69, it would explain his older appearance. He looks a little bloated. A telltale sign. Just a thought.
I was hoping that the event was a happy affair.
The official cover shot certainly seemed to convey a unified mood.
This pic doesn’t seem so.
Paul looks stoned – to me anyway…
@JD…
Well, hypothetically…
if paul is stoned(high), and Ringo is drunk(low)…
then, at least you can see why I never touch booze…
(why did they leave the most potent and damaging drug legal and glorified?…don’t answer…it was rhetorical))
Let ‘s not overanalize it, a new Beatle pix , that should be enough. Never tell they were about to break up though.
Abbey Road is my favorite album…album cover…and everything else, too
I know you…you know me
I think it was a morning shoot and – remember – these were young men. Tired, maybe hung over, maybe not.
The light isn’t flattering either.
Nothing more than that – just think of all the other photos taken then (and after) when they look great.
Beautiful and touching shot.
Alex…you are correct. It’s just so easy to get into every little detail when one sees a pic (of two) that one had never seen.
Fascinating!
They remind of two dogs, one friendly looking and the other a bit withdrawn, not engaged.
