    Paul’s got him as usual.

  2. KTH says:

Yup–he’s trailing beside Paul hidden by Jane?

  3. Kwai Chang says:

Who are the ladies in the foreground?
I can’t believe either of them are Jane. Cynthia maybe…heartbroken.
Also, I can’t imagine how that opportunist was allowed in as magic.
Somebody should have produced a dictionary with blinking lights next to the REAL meaning of such terminology…
Don’t mistake the ‘something more’ for something ‘better’

July 31, 1967 – At the airport in Greece on their way back to London, Paul walking behind Paula Boyd is probably holding Julian’s hand (Jane Asher is not shown, but is probably out-of-frame of the left), next John, Alex Mardas and Cynthia on far right.

  5. Kwai Chang says:

    Thank you, Lynn.

Julian is definitely with Paul. Look at how Paul is looking to his side and down (at Julian). Also you can see a tiny bit of Julian’s little shadow behind the woman with the horrible pants. :)

Boy, Paul and Jane really did spend a lot of time with Julian on this trip. There are lots of pictures of the three of them.

paul always loved kids. when anyone brought a child to cavendish, he always stopped to speak to them. he loved julian and also heather. john, on the other hand, didn’t seem too confortable around kids. it bothers me a lot to see that in most photos when he was quite small julian is either leaning on him or on his lap, but john isn’t holding him or touching him. maybe i’m just a latin mother and grandmother who loves kids very much and can’t stop hugging them and kissing them… as for magic alex, i couldn’t agree more with kwai. i can’t stand the man. couldn’t stand him in person, can’t stand him now. john must have been VERY high on drugs when he believed anything he said…

    Lizzie…
Latin mothers are role model material. I have many friends from Mexico (and beyond) and all the bautismos, cinceneras(?), fiestas, cumpleanos that I have attended have proven one thing to me:
American culture has given up something that will never be replaced…the family unit. Status is everything, and family is just baggage. The Latino culture warms my heart because they still believe in eating meals together…going to events together, and best of all…NOT abandoning their elderly as the journey comes full circle(death). Fear is the only darkness…and most Americans will be afraid at the end…because most will be alone. It’s part of the Image…but a heavy price to pay!
Now about Alex: Did he ever bathe?

  9. Erin says:

I agree with the consensus-Uncle Paul’s got him.

  10. Lizzie says:

thank you, kwai. i have to say that our lives revolve around the family and children and the elderly are a priority.

    Lizzie,
I’ve noticed the same about John in the photos taken with Julian. Julian always seemed so eager to be in his dad’s company. Such a stark contrast between John w/Julian & John w/Sean. Sadly, John’s life when Julian was a young boy revolved around the band, career and his search to find himself & his happiness. For as much as I love John, he glossed over Julian and wasn’t a ‘Daddy’ in the way he was after the birth of Sean. I always feel bad that in one of John’s last interviews he stated that “Sean was his greatet pride” and the difference between Julian & Sean was that Sean was a planned child. It’s sad to hear especially when John lived his life with feeling unwanted, abandoned etc.
Nonetheless Lizzie … God bless mothers (like yourself), fathers and families. They the foundations in which we begin to build our lives.
