    Much improved Ringo pic

    LoL, Macca looks stoned. Awesome pics! I wish I had some more takes of that brilliant session. The other day I downloaded roughly about sixty pictures of Mad Day Out session, I bet there are more…;-)

  4. Macca always looks stoned, tho John looks like he’s the one making a cosmic connection :-)

    The picture of John was featured on the cover of a 1975 issue of Guitar Player magazine. It was approximately 2.5″ X 3.5″…so, this is a massive improvement. The White Album portraits are magical images that beg reflection, induce clarity, elude time and…much, much more. The outtake shots may be many in number, but, I doubt that any of them are as perfect as the ones chosen. I would go so far, as to say, John’s portrait from the album could easily be the most iconic Beatle image EVER!

    Stoned and stunning, Tammy..;-)

    Okay what happened here? Where is George’s picture

  8. Kwai Chang says:

    @Joy…
    The previously mentioned Guitar Player mag featured all four Beatles on the cover. All were White Album related. George’s picture was an outtake of the iconic portrait included in the album. I’ve never seen it ANYWHERE else!
    (it was a little blurry and the colors were flat but the esoteric/academic value should be obvious)…
    SO, ONCE AGAIN…Thank you, Tammy!

    I just found the alternate White Album picture of George. It appears in a magazine called “Modern Hi-Fi & Music” dated 1976 and the article is called “Too True Tales of the Beatles as Boys” by Alanna Nash. It has the John Lennon pictured here but in B&W and it also has a side view of George Harrison from that session. The Ringo & Paul photos in the magazine are not from the White Album but the Ringo is a photo I’ve never seen before. It’s funny what you find when your not really looking!!!

    @Nick D…
    It never ends…(the search for treasure)
    Thanks to The Beatles, Life is a goldmine.

    One of the best pictures of Ringo I ever saw

  15. I spent a little time tarting these up, they were a little damaged (much like myself really) if I find a Hari outtake from this session I’ll post it :-)
