WEIRDY HARI:

Even after the tens of thousands of photos i’ve looked at of the Fabs, every now and then one surfaces that throws me for a loop. This above is one such photo, i’m torn, it looks like April 1969, but George seems to look a lot older in the face from that time frame .. maybe i’ve seen too many photos, and i’m going beresk and losing my touch.

Any thoughts?

    Miss Tammy is suffering from TMB. “Too Much Beatles”. My personal opinion: Somebody’s messing around with the Photo Shop. I’ve seen just as many Beatle pics as you have my dear and I’ve never seen old George look quite this way. You are correct, it’s very odd to say the least.

    Hmmm – I’d be layin’ bets on 1976 – 33 1/3 (before or after the perm). I’d also lay bets he’s wearing a bib and brace over a t-shirt!

    Oooh!, part of me now wants to say 1973 .. where is Hyacinth Francine when you need her.

  4. nick_L says:

    Yeah definitely an older Hari. ’76 does seem about right Don.

    Looks like SNL George to me.

    Hey Missy!

    My thoughts is that it dates from the 33 1/3 period of 1976. He’s got that centre parting that was peculiar to that period.

    Did anyone think that this picture was maybe taken around the time George was diagnosed with Hepatitis and that’s why he doesn’t look well. All in all
    his eyes are so mysterious and very seductive looking

    Have a nice day everyone

    1973. Seems to be part of a series of photographs from when he turned 30. If you look at some of them, he’s got a big smile and a giant cake in a form of the number 30 with a knife in the middle.

  14. Tammy says:

    Ooh!, i wonder where i could find more of these 30th birthday pics?

  15. Kwai Chang says:

    @John…
    Thank you for that light that has lighted the world.

    @Tammy…
    You’ll find them in the material world…
    (be here now)

    @All…
    Don’t let me wait too long!
    Who can see it?
    (That is all)

    This must be later than 1969 because he’s plucked and/or shaved off his unibrow, which I thought he still had in 69.

  17. Hitachi says:

    Quite possibly from his 1973 birthday. Looks similar. A series of pics were taken that day? Really? I’ve only ever seen the one with the birthday cake in some book.. was it in “I Me Mine”? Anyway if there’s more pics from this day will someone send them along to Tammy who of course will send them onto me :)

  18. John says:

    Living in the Material World, 2nd DVD, when they’re talking about My Sweet Lord, there you’ll find the photo with the cake.

    Early 1970s George always looked like a Byzantine Christ.
