Thanks so much for posting this. : )
john behind the wheel? let me get out of the way, fast!
He can’t have been that bad a driver if he’d passed his test, surely?
Did John take a hacksaw to the roof of the Phantom???
Looks like a golf cart.
Vin – John did pass his test (barely), but because of his poor eyesight and being easily distracted, was never a confident driver. Plus, he never spent much time behind the wheel, so he never got the confidence that comes with time. It’s well known how he got into a serious accident in Scotland in 1969, flipping the car into a ditch and nearly killing not only himself, but Yoko, Julian and Kyoko. The kids got bumps and bruises, while J & Y required stitches. The car (what was left of it) was later crushed and supposedly put on display at Tittenhurst. It’s probably long gone by now.
Regarding the Scotland accident , Yoko was pregnant too , so it’s really not that crazy to have brought a bed into Abbey Road for her, it’s almost harder to imagine not staying home with her , but thank god because we wouldn’t have the Abbey Road album, would we?
