I don’t recognize that custom backdrop
What show is this?
Yeah, my friend and I don’t recognize this show either. Any clues as to when/where this was? This looks like to me to probably be right after A Hard Day’s Night. This is Ringo’s 1st 22” drum kit so must be one of the first times he’s used it. Paul is also using his first Hofner bass after it had been refurbished. Love to track down more shots from this show.
“Top of the Pops” insert taping, BBC Lime Grove studio, 7 July 1964. Another appearance seemingly lost forever!
Do we know what they performed Datey?
They did A Hard Days Night, Things We Said today and Long Tall Sally
None of their Top of The Pops inserts still exist
Apart from, by accident, a few seconds of Ticket To Ride
and the InterTel promos, some of which were made after being requested by Top of The Pops for their Christmas Day 1965 edition
I’m assuming they mimed this performance?
I have this photo as being from the taping of Thank Your Lucky Stars (Summer Spin) on July 11, 1964. Have I been misinformed?
