The launch party for the Scaffold single “Liverpool Lou” on August 17 1974. The song was produced by Paul and features Paul, Linda & Wings on the backing. Not sure of the location it took place but most likely it was actually in Liverpool.. anyone know for sure? No idea why Ron Kass was present as this was released on the Warner Brothers label.
i LOVE the scaffold! saw them live in london, they were a blast! i have two books by roger and on one he signed “the first i’ve seen” because i bought it as soon as it came out and he hadn’t seen it yet!
Didn’t Kass end up at Warners after he was shit on by Apple? (who DIDN’T Apple shit on).
Tammy, you’re right. Ron Kass worked for Liberty(MGM), Apple & Warner.
McGough & McGear album is a classic!
I think some of the ‘singing’ is Paul…
anyway, it has some very clever word play as lyrics.
It doesn’t sound anything like the McGear album
(which sounds like a Wings album)…
Grab both…
(what decision?)
Yes Ron Kass was fired from Apple by Klein, after being falsely accused of financial impropriety. By the time of this photo he had married Joan Collins, and later produced two of her films.
is it the longest Paul ever had his hair??
