Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance, Gotta Munchies

Ol’ “Low” Grade never knew what the band was doing in the ITV toilets all that time – he thought it was the veggie cooking (when actually it was ‘cooking the bud’ instead).

Red Rose Speedway has got to include the James Paul McCartney special. I didn’t know it was coming on back in ’73 and I didn’t see it. I’ve since only seen the different segments on youtube.

I’m very excited to see the whole thing (with extras).

Someone put the soundtrack on a cassette for me a long while back. I want the songs on CD too.

    Hahaha :-)

The only thing I WANT to see are the street singers :-)

The Gotta sing, gotta dance sequence is one of the most horrifying things ever committed to magnetic tape. The rest of the band, who were trying to be taken seriously as a rock band, had to sit by and watch their leader take part in a sequence, so cheap, so sadly urban that Benny Hill wouldn’t have used it as filler in one of his late night comedy specials. This special is the worse excercise in Paul’s collection of ego projects, only redeemed by the opening performance of Big barn bed, and the closing Long tall Sally/Hi Hi Hi.

Its from”uncle albert”scene in 1973s “James Paul McCartney”tv show.To be in a video from a song from 2 years earlier it must be post that period,ie later, as Yoko has done with many of john & yoko videos, replaced footage.
