They say John had a major “thing” for Patty and, to his credit, never tried to “consumate” his lust.
She was John’s ‘type’ back then. Blonde hair, blue eyes but yes nothing never happened there.
I think John DID once make a drunken come-on to Pattie when they were dancing…
Apparently he made a drunken come on to Dot according to her. This was after Paul had dumped her.
george is in his standard demin shirt, denim jacket, blue jean look from the spring and summer collection of ’69. a friend
Cara, I think you are right about John coming on to Patti. I think it was at a costume party in 1967. There are pictures of the party. It’s when John is dressed as a rocker and Paul is dressed as a Confederate Civil War soldier. Yes, I heard John was drunk and came on to her. The one I don’t know much about is George and Ringo’s wife Maureen. Lot of crap went on behind the scenes it seems.
And it looked like Paul had a small thing for her too the way he kissed her cheek and looked at her in George’s wedding pics. But she’s just their type and she’s very pretty. I read somewhere she gave a lap dance to John. I wonder how tall she is.
She’s only 5’7.5″, but, Maureen was really short at 5’5″. The bothersome thing, and it seems to still apply today, is that she was perceived as an airhead because of her looks and she wasn’t at all. Amazing that Olivia, whose looks are nice but nothing to write home about, is correctly assumed to be quite intelligent, but, Pattie, precisely because of her looks, is assumed to be flighty and insipid. Had it not been for her early interest in TM, we might never have seen the Indian influence on music, George’s spirituality, etc. She was and is very well read, very observant and perceptive and endlessly curious.
