Hijinks at the George Cinq, Gay Paree, Jan-Feb 1964
Why is a photographer(Dezo Hofmann?) in their room?
Was this kind of repetition really more important than resting? If Brian thought they needed more exposure, then hire two more photographers.
I thought Brian would have insulated them from such non-obligations…
A real manager would have had some local talent ‘visiting’ the boys…
“Let’s do that French thing”
S’il vous plait…
now THAT’s an eyeful(Eifel)
It wasn’t Dezo, Kwai, I believe it was a French photographer for a top French mag. And at this stage the boys were still happy to play the publicity game and all which that entailed; Brian was only doing his job (he did turn down certain things, too).
And as for wacky publicity shoots v chercez le femme, the Beatles were young enough to have time and energy for both! Oui, oui!
Or .. they were just into group planking. WINSTON CHURCHILL!!
Could’ve been Harry Benson.
Harry was there at this session and took B&W shots but this was a French photographer. The name will come to me.
