This is quite interesting. I only know of the ’66 trip. This must be a stop-over or something.
The Beatles stops in my corner of the world have always been particularly interesting to me. I think the plane was supposed to refuel in Manila en route to Sydney from Hong Kong, but the stopover was changed to Darwin due to the heat. Maybe George didn’t know about the change in plans?
