Second recording session for “Lovely Rita”, E.M.I. Studio Two, Friday 24th February 1967.
It’s great when someone adds a date to photo, thanks
meanwhile, young lizzie and her friends are outside, freezing their behinds on a cold winter night, waiting for the above gentleman and his friends to come out of the studios…
…but I’m sure your behind thawed out instantly once John finished his tea and came outside! Especially if this was the night John recorded his special contribution to the Lovely Rita coda… he must’ve been feeling extra frisky! 😉 Lizzie, you were newly arrived in London then, weren’t you? Was that your first-ever British winter?
dear cara, you bet i felt warm when he came out… i wrote about that in my diary. that was my first-ever winter! i had lived in rio de janeiro and caracas before that: our winters would make you people laugh!
