    Bobby Keyes great sax player .

  7. Sudsy says:

    John’s partner-in-crime is renowned sax man and long time Rolling Stones sideman Bobby Keys, who appeared on Walls and Bridges and
    Rock’N'Roll.

    Very cute picture. : )

    @alf…
    Thank you, kindly. I couldn’t read the signature and I thought he looked like a country/western dude. I kept thinking he had signed “bully” or Belly”.
    (Sorry, Bobby)

  10. MarkC says:

    Regular Stones sax player and played with at least 2 Fabs, John and George. John says “Bobby” right before a sax solo on one of the JL Anthology tracks, but I can’t remember which one.

    is that the balcony of the apartment where John & may pang were living at the time? the very balcony where John & May saw a flying saucer one night?

  12. Cara says:

    @MarkC ~ He says “Bobby!” on the Anthology version of “Baby Please Don’t Go.” My question: Does he also say it at the end of WGYTTN?

  13. Nick Detaranto says:

    I managed to get a signed copy of Bobby’s autobiography. Very good read, too.

    This might be a good pic to wheel out when the “John was too thin at the end” brigade start up. I’ll love to have washboard abs like that (maybe I do, under all the fat).

  15. Jocelyn says:

    @MarkC,

    Bobby played with Ringo as well on Ron Wood’s track “Buried Alive”. Check out the promo video for that song.

  16. Alex of the Bronx says:

    I didn’t look it up but wasn’t Bobbt Keyes on the RINGO album from 1973 and George’s ATMP ?
    If he isn’t it seems he should have been

  17. Michael says:

    Lots of interesting stuff about Bobby in Keith Richards’ book, “Life”.

  18. MarkC says:

    Just checked out Woody’s Buried Alive video with Ringo. Never saw or heard it before. Pretty rough, but good!
