This photo is gold to me, it’s the first colour pic i’ve seen of the Fabs on the balcony of their Sydney hotel, this wasn’t their room at the front, this was Derek and Neils, the Fabs had suite 801 down the back, looking over the harbor.

49 years ago this month the Fabs visited my city of Sydney….and a reminder of Miss Tammy’s previous homage to Room 801:

Hey Tam, so the Scouser who climbed up the wall to their suite and tapped on the window – would he have scaled a back or side wall?
Re: Scouser (the scaler)
Top Floor?
The non-invited could have scaled the wrought-iron balcony railings to get up there. If the building is only eight floors…elevator to the roof and then jump down onto balcony…
or, the shortcut goes through the outback
Didgeridoo and parachute required
The side wall, it faces north/east. Friggin amazing, it was eight storys up, i remember standing on the balcony from the inside, and i had the vapors!.
A little known fact, Miss Tammy was concieved in June 1964, i think there is something in that for all of us.
Were your parents at a Beatle Concert the night you were conceived?
actually….Brians room. I saw the floor plan as drawn up by Aztec, the tour promoter….
