This piece of graffiti lasted until at least the mid 1990’s in Sydney, as millions of people drove along busy South Dowling street, this message was clearly visible.

I’ve been saying goodbye to JL for over 30 years, and I’ll never quite get over it, its always painful to think about his loss

I remember a similar piece of graffiti near my late grandmother’s house in Dandenong, Victoria,

“LONG LIVE THE LEGEND OF LENNON AND DEATH TO CH***AN” with a skull and crossbones!

I was almost 8 at the time and remember it clearly.

Here in my local town a similar sign was sprayed across the front of Woolworths, and also in Kiama near me (Google it) on the overhead rail bridge ‘RIP John Lennon’ was sprayed, it too stayed there until at least the mid nineties, i wonder now if Paul and Linda saw, they spent some time in Kiama when they were here in 1993.
