Some FAR OUT bits for sale there! Where do I start? John and Paul’s autographs from 1958 wouldn’t be a bad place…. [“if I were a rrrrich man”]

I love the photos and the incredible auction items … true Beatle gems. How wonderful it would be to own one! As the Rutles once said “All You Need Is Cash”!

I was just wondering (after listening to Julian on CBS Sunday Morning) if Julian will be bidding on any of these items. I had heard that Julian has a collection of Beatle/John items that he had to purchase at auction, otherwise he wouldn’t have any of his Dad’s. I had heard about that in the past but to see & hear him tell the story and actually say that going to auction was the only way to own something of his fathers was very, very sad. Julian seems to be such a sweet & sensitive man.

Who’s the guy Paul is swishing the towel at?

  5. jim says:

julian just published a book of his beatles collection–check it out!

  6. CS says:

@d- I think that’s John “fat Elvis” Lennon. If you look at other bathing beauty photos of him from that era, he usually covers his tummy with a towel or something… See photos below.

  7. CS says:

Ooops! It’s not Johnny…. took another look. Looks like Brian?

  8. hey_you says:

jim, what’s the name of the book? too bad julian had to buy all of that stuff.

  9. Jeannette says:

Julian’s new book is called Beatles’ Memorabilia: The Julian Lennon Collection. So far only released in the UK, not US (yet)

Not sure about who the guy is with Paul and Cynthia

  10. Mina says:

That’s not John’s body… even with 300 pounds it wouldn’t be. The stand is like an old man’s one.

  11. Tammy says:

Probably Mal .. or more likely Murray the K.

The FBI were pretty quick in getting the Lennon fingerprint set back off that auction site, and into their safe hands once more.

    And relax.
