    paparazzi ‘luck’…
(the PR man grows his beard back…that’ll make it candid)

  2. Lee says:

Why the constant need on this blog of some people to see the darkest motive in Paul’s every move? I notice no one does that to John on this blog, and he and Yoko were just as good at manipulating the press, and in fact, better than Paul ever was.

    Just my two cents.

  3. Kwai Chang says:

    Paul is PR genius…
    (none better)
some people love spilt cherries…I don’t
opinions are on a picture by picture basis…
and that’s what these pictures make me think evert time…
at least some were happy about the break-up…
    context=timing
otherwise, you caught what I was saying…
I would say the same thing to his face…but I’m not brave enough

  4. Nick says:

Is there a true need to comment on every photo posted?

  5. Kwai Chang says:

no…sometimes there is a need to stop commenting and admire what I’ve written…who do you think I’m writing to anyway?
Oh yeah, I also went and bought a scanner I didn’t need to send Tammy about 800 scans so far…
    BOO HOO!
    (were you talking to me?)
    nope??? sorry!!
    walk it off

  6. Kwai Chang says:

is there really a need to not comment on any picture of the beatles?
    (cry, baby, cry)
maybe you’ve got nuthin’ to say
    (think harder)

  7. Kwai Chang says:

    Hey, Nick…
please forgive me for being so sensitive…
(I really never think that anyone reads my comments)
    you’re stuck with me…
(I’ve got tons more to send Tammy…most of it UNCOMMON)
    PEACE

  8. yesiamize says:

Lee, I agree with what you say.

  9. Nick says:

Kwai, I wasn’t saying you personally but was just thinking out loud. Post away…

  10. Lee says:

    Yesiamize: Thanks.

  11. hey you says:

paul really rocked the beard look. yummy!

  12. Kwai Chang says:

    hey everyone…
I really make an effort to not comment first…
and to not comment on all of them…
but I do get out of control…
I hate it when great pics don’t get any comments
    I will try harder.
When does the deluxe RAM hit the streets?

  13. Lee says:

    Kwai: Not soon enough.

I’ve heard it’s due out early next year, which bums me out as I was hoping for a Ram deluxe edition from Santa.

  14. Kwai Chang says:

    Thanks, Lee…
I’ve been collecting a long time and the one item I never got was the songbook for the RAM album…at age eleven, I remember flipping through it in the music store…I haven’t seen it since…
it is packed w/ RAM related pics that still elude me…
I’m just hoping that those will be included…
    tick, tock, tick, tock

  15. nick says:

Did you know there are TWO Ram song books? One was issued in America and the other in England. Both of different photos.

  16. Joy says:

I know this comment has nothing to do with this picture but I’ve got a question about a song Paul wrote it’s titled “1985″ does anyone seem to know what album that’s on – because I really like it.

Thanks! Have a good day everybody

  17. Kwai Chang says:

1985 is on Band On The Run album…
Hey Nick, that’s twice the good news….
    AND twice the searching…
The one I saw doesn’t look anything like the RAM album…
it had an acoustic guitar on the cover!
    Here comes the fever…
    RAM Army, MARCH!!!

  18. Mike says:

    band on the run

  19. nick says:

USA cover has the guitar cove while the English cover has the RAM cover picture. Happy hunting!

  20. Kwai Chang says:

    nick,
thank ewe(again) for the awesome news…
I have sent a few RAM pics to Tammy…
I think he is saving them for the big event…
there are a couple that I’m sure won’t be in the deluxe edition…
(they are all from old mags…)

  21. nick says:

In the English book, there are many shots of Paul & Linda arriving at Mick & Bianca’s wedding in 1971 so you know it was released right after RAM was released since the wedding and album release were in the month of May, 1971. The USA version doesn’t have those photo’s.

  22. Kwai Chang says:

    Very interesting…
I have some pics of the wedding…I didn’t know Paul and Linda were there. And those pics are from the same mag that those RAM pics are from. It all fits…
The RAM deluxe release will hopefully convince all non-believers.
Anyone ever see a real Brung To Ewe By 12″?
    (me either)

  23. Nick says:

Never saw a real BTEB but I do have it on bootleg CD as also RAM in mono.

  24. Aeolian Cadence says:

Lee, I really think this blog is equal-opportunity. Pointed comments are made about each of the Beatles, and almost always someone comes to the defense of the Beatle in question. Personally, I find it very well-balanced, and I love how there aren’t any sacred cows — the complexity of each of these men is acknowledged and celebrated. And in the end, you know, it is all about celebrating them, or at least I find it so. So many interesting perspectives to consider, so much fascinating information to absorb, so many fantastic photos to enjoy — so much Beatle love. Sorry to gush.

  25. Kwai Chang says:

    @Aeolian Cadence…
    keep gushing(don’t hold it in)
    @Nick…
    was BTEB a U.S. only promo???I’ve never heard of a u.k. copy!
just curious…ALL things RAM, dear boy!
    Thanks

  26. Since 1963 says:

Oh, the things I take for granted. I enjoy reading posts by new fans or young fans. There’s the one asking what album 1985 was on. I smile when I realize that The Beatles is in my DNA. It is great to see that the fan base keep growing. That people still are discovering “new” songs by Wings is refreshing. Meanwhile I continue living in my own little Beatles world where everything always was and will be. :)

  27. Kwai Chang says:

    Re: DNA…
since I was only seeking brain damage…
I found the chromosome damage to be quite the bargain…
    (SINcerely)
    “…you’re correct! There’s nobody there…”

  28. Nick says:

    @Kwai,
As far as I know, BTEB was only issued to US radio stations. To be honest, It’s not that great. I am sure they will include in the deluxe RAM. I am praying that disc two of the deluxe RAM will be the mono mix. If there is a God…..:)

  29. Kwai Chang says:

    @Nick…
I’m hoping the deluxe edition will contain alternate takes, unused tracks, vintage alternate mixes, works in progress/different arrangements…plus related promos, b-sides,
I’m hoping it won’t contain any non-vintage live performances , any ‘instrumental’ version(vocal faders down), any interviews, any ‘new’ mixes…
(any demos will hopefully be of the revelatory variety)
Plus…some(ALL) cover art in progress, mock-ups, all pics from the songbooks, sessions, contact-sheets, promo items, tape boxes, production notes, chronicled timeline…
Oh yeah…a commemorative repro of that reindeer sweater Paul wore at the sessions…fine wool…XL

  30. Nick says:

    @Kwai,
well, are you sure you don’t work for MPL? That’s a very tall order but it would be nice to have that very cool sweater. Love to have legit release of “Rode All Night” and all of the home movies from New York during the RAM sessions and those Halloween masks from 1970! I am sure Linda took a ton of photos too! Let them see daylight! “Piss of cakeeeeeeeeeee”

  31. Nick says:

Oh, and “Night Out” and “Say Darlin’”

  32. Nick says:

I have it on very good authority that mono mix, Thrillington and the Brung To You promo spots will be included. I have also been told that there will be “bonus tracks” but they weren’t allowed to divulge any further information… “Now, here this song of mine”………

  33. Kwai Chang says:

    Nick…
I would only work for MPL if the owner stays away…
A fly flies in…a fly flies out
most flies, they got 3 legs…
    but mine got one…
    (high, high, high—–>”Polygon”…yeah, right!)
    “well we didn’t get a lift…
but we got on a fishing boat…
that was then that the chaos began…”
(I wasn’t kidding about the sweater)
    Thanks for now…
PS- Brung to Ewe By was the best release on the ‘tobe milo’ label
