i do love it, i do love it!!! i was in london, but didn’t know this was happening (of course, we didn’t have cell phones or internet or anything – darn! we only found things out the next day or two when it was in the papers). thank you for posting, miss tammy!
Speaking for myself, I’ve not seen that many photos taken from Grapefruit’s launch party. I’ve seen a few Grapefruit group shots with the Beatles, Cilla Black, Donovan & Brian Jones but all in b&w. New photos or rarely seen photos are ‘gems’ to me!
Lizzie … they are ‘gems’ aren’t they? It never ceases to amaze me how many little treasures there are out there waiting to be discovered or ‘rediscovered’.
I, like you, enjoy the photos, stories (especially your memories) and archival footage … it takes me back and I enjoy them no matter how many times I’ve seen them.
I secretly hope the someone who is happy was supposed to be ME! Because I am! John photos that I have never seen always make me one happy Lennon Lover!
you’re welcome…

well, that only took 44 years
a great day for Beach Boy fans…
Capitol catches up to Vigotone and Sea Of Tunes…
wouldn’t it be nice if a Helter Skelter box…
(comin’ down fast…in the cantina…
you may margarita but you ain’t no dancer)
hi ishie, cara, jennifer and sara – fellow lennon girls. i was just looking at that photo that came with the “the toy boy” poem in a magazine maybe in 1966. it brought back memories… of falling in love with the photo, of memorizing the poem… john photos bring me back to what was happening in my life when i first saw them. i will never get tired of his photos, “old” or “new”!
Fantastic pic! You don’t see many colour from this day – Grapefruit (the group not Yoko’s book) press launch, 17 January 1968
great photo indeed … Lizzie will LOVE it!

someone is happy, someone is happy, someone is happy!
Hmm. Why is this a “great” photo? Not being snarky here, I’m just wondering because it’s not really a flattering shot. At all.
never seen it before…
(THAT’s a big diff)

Re: ALL THINGS BEATLE…I’d rather have it than not have it
Made ME very happy as well. Always have been, and always will be, a John Girl!
