The one our George couldn’t remember playing – bless him! Lovely tribute from Klaus elsewhere, Tam.
Thanks for sharing this. : )
We should just be thankful that nothing went wrong for the group’s safety…
Even though the youthful demographic was fairly predictable, it was still the “evolving birth of rock and roll”…(threshing floor)…where the word ‘spectacle’ was being created to go with arena mentality. Grand Funk would take this to the exponential…and beyond. The promoters must have made some serious profit since security looks fairly ‘low-bid’.
I wonder what the group’s share of the gate/concessions/merchandise looked like…
This was probably the beginning of resentment to do with Mr. Epstein…
I would have expected much more shrewdness out of him…screw the handshake and revise the agreement. Brian could have demanded that SELTAEB pay for ANY/ALL participation and limit their profit to 10%…MAX!
…and SELTAEB would have never complained…
The mostly forgotten Shea concert. Any footage of this one around ? Seems like they were total disgusted with the whole concert scene by this point, even Paul. Couple of days to 8.29.66
