‘I’m just so excited when I’m around him. It’s like when you see a white buffalo and you just hold your breath – you’re just hoping that it’s not going to end. Because,’ he adds quietly, ‘it’s the closest I can come to hanging out with my dad. Every second I’ve ever spent with Paul has been really meaningful to me. He was my dad’s best mate for a long time. And my dad didn’t have many friends, you know?’

That is the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard.
That’s beautiful.
I’ve actualy got a lump in my throat reading that…
Wow… Me too JD!
It’s so sweet and sad at the same time..
What a lovely thing to say. True friendships, like true love spans the ages of generations and stands the test of time.
Beautiful… and sad.
Sean said, “and my dad didn’t have many friends…” when I read that I was thinking to the John Lennon’s song Cleanup time’s lyric “no friends and yet no enemies”. He was absolute free!
John may have not had many friends, but he had the best with Paul, George, and Ringo.
It was really kind of Sean to say this.
who gives a shit what he thinks? love, a friend.
somebody has a crush on macca…
I think Sean does what a child of a late parent who dies when they are very young do- try to get close to their late parent from someone who knew them. Carol Burnett said that Mariska Hargitay, whenever a guest star from Jayne Mansfield’s era come on her Law & Order: SVU show she would talk to them about her mom (who died when she was 3).
It’s very sad, but it’s also very lovely too.
That was such a touching quote and picture, thanks for sharing. : )
White Buffalo? I never knew they existed! I’ll have to go search for one on Google!
What Sean said was very very touching! Wow! That’s powerful!
Hey beatle55? I give a shit. A lot of viewers of this site do. What made you soooo angry? And STOP ending every commment with “love, a friend” when there evidently is none on you behalf.
Awww. I’m sad for Sean, and glad that Paul could play that role for him.
Wow, this photo really shows how Sean has his daddy’s smile. Amazing.
Paul hung out with Julian too in the sixties. A good man looking out for his best friend’s kids. It’s nice of Sean to recognize & acknowledge that.
Very moving. And you’re right Pete, it’s very telling that the Beatle kids all love Paul like that; Dhani as well, attending his divorce party etc.
@Markzapp: I agree with you.
“beatle55″: stop posting such insensitive rubbish
Yoko looks lovely here. I always like when she cans the glasses and hats and dresses up a bit.
And he was the main writer of his favorite childhood song…”With a Little Help from my Friends”

not angry, just channeling what george would probobally say. you have to remember that the legacy yoko and company wants to preserve is hers. as far as the love thing, everything is yang to the yin. by the way read the book ” you never give me your money “. it’s a pretty good read.
It is nice to know that both of John’s children think so highly of Paul…and that Paul has taken a great interest in them in return. I think it’s somewhat fitting that perhaps Paul’s most famous song, Hey Jude, was written with Julian in mind.
What’s really touching is Paul played that role with Julian, too. I’m sure John would be touched by this if he was still around today.
