   Are there any photo’s of the Rubber Soul cover before it was slightly stretched out ?
   You can get the jacket from The Beatle convention people along with Ringo’s Abbey Road jacket and the 1965 Shea Stadium suits, but they ain’t cheap.

    I think that my friends were at the Hard Rock Cafe in Los Angeles and saw it on display there within the last year. They videotaped it in its display case for me. Not 100% sure though.

    Kwai, this particular pic was taken at LA press conference in August 1965 so it well and truly pre-dates the album sleeve photo. John got the jacket in England just before that third US tour (August 1965) at the time of “the dental experience”. I can’t think of any photos pre-dating that of him wearing it.

    I have one of the Rubber Soul jackets. It’s a great jacket, I’ve had it for three years now. It was made right off of Lennons original jacket, which Russ had for a day. He did it right, even down to the flaws. I guess John’s was really a cheap no name brand jacket, but it looked cool so he wore it…..
