    “Fender” company wanted to add Rosewood Telecaster guitar to its catalogue, and it released the prototype in December 1968. After Harrison was playing it during his famous improvisation concert on the roof of “Apple” studio next January, the guitar became a real icon. In a year Harrison presented it to the singer and composer Delaney Bramlett, who sold the guitar for nearly half a million dollars at an auction in 2004.

    The buyer at that auction was bidding on behalf of Olivia Harrison. She brought her late husband’s guitar back home. Good on her.

    Apparently a Rosewood Strat was made for Jimi Hendrix around the same time as Harrison’s Rosewood Tele
