Datey, surreal moment a few months ago, i walked out of the stage door at the Opera House after seeing Yoko’s performance, i turned the corner and literally bumped into Jenny Kee.

No need to tell you how that played with my mind :-)

You gossipy people had me googling Jenny Kee: I never heard her name nor that story before!!! Amazing…

  9. stephanie says:

Oh Miss Tammy you are a minx. Yes I was also at the Sydney Opera House. Miss Jenny Kee was standing next to me, by the stage door, as Yoko’s car emerged. Very surreal.

Tammy and stephanie, I would have also found it surreal to be near Jenny Kee AND Yoko… This whole thing got me thinking: why wasn’t I a goupie? Was it my upbringing? Was it Catholic School (mind you, my parents had no religion, I am so crazy I asked to go to Catholic School…)? After watching that video of her explaining her and her friend’s whole plan which ended with her in bed with John I felt that Denise and I were two idiots! We had no plan whatsoever, only dreams… Silly girls! Or was it that she was 17 and we were 15 and in those days that could make a big difference?

Sent the Jenny Kee youtube link to Denise (for those who don’t know, she’s the friend that convinced out parents we had to go to London for our 15th birthday in 1967 instead of having a big party, arrived in London a few weeks before me and found out everything about where to see the boys), she loved the video, and wrote back that she was four years older than us, not two… (math was never my best subject). Now that makes a big difference… Denise and her husband live quite near me. The two of us sometimes get together and laugh our heads off remembering all the crazy things we did back then.
