    I think these are from the BB King In London sessions from 1971. Ringo had his hair fairly short during the JL/POB sessions.

    I’ll errr to you Datey, the reader who sent them said they were POB pics, but i see so many these days ‘pic eye’ is becoming addled :-)

    I didn’t think there were any photos from the recording of that album and it seems to continue. That was such a personal album who would want to be photographed while recording it? It would be like being on a psychiatrist’s couch while having your photo taken.

    The 70′s magazine I scanned these from, has an article about the recording of the POB album, and they say these two are from that session.
    As it was e serious magazine, I have no reason (till now) to doubt them :)

    MOJO or UNCUT magazine had some pictures of Ringo drumming during the POB sessions and he looked the same as he did during Sentimental Journey / Beaucoups of Blues – Short Hair + Beard.

    I’ll go along with the BB King sessions as the date for these.

    Plenty of pix of both George and Ringo wearing that sleeveless cardigan/ tunic number soon after the split.

    if i remember correctly, john and george were doing their albums around the same time and i’ve seen pics of ringo at georges sessions with short hair and a beard like ashwom mentioned. they used that pic of ringo in the classic album show about the p.o.b. album, but i don’t think it’s from those sessions. i’ve only seen one pic of john with the short hair playing an acoustic guitar which i believe is from the p.o.b. sessions. maybe you’ve seen it markzapp. a friend.

    Klaus is such a beautiful looking man. Sorry, couldn’t help myself there. I really like his bass contributions too – there, see I can look past the surface :-)

    These photos look like they were taken at Olympic Studios. Maybe from the Howlin’ Wolf sessions?
