That photo with the "tears" is mean. It wasn't meant to be that Pete would be a Beatle after 1962. Ringo was the 4th piece of the Beatle puzzle as George stated. Not only did the music make them superstars but the personalities pushed them to even greater fame and Ringo had the right one to be a Beatle. Anyone ever ask someone "who's your favorite Rolling Stone? Who's your favorite member of Kiss? It's ALWAYS "who's your favorite Beatle? Even as a 40-something I still get asked. They're THAT big. OVER 40 years later. And here, we celebrate that greatness. YEAH.
Ah, I think it's a laugh.

I agree. It was meant to be. Ringo had the personality. In 1964 I read that Ringo got more fan mail then the other three combined.
The reason why Ringo received more mail than the other three? More people wrote to him! Wink.
lol, lol Markzapp that was funny
Pete Best would've had his nose rubbed in it big time during those Beatle years. His mum Mona seemed to keep the contact (as well as having a baby with Neil Aspinall). For example the medals John wore for the Sgt Pepper shoot were loaned by Mona on John's request.
I gather the Anthology stuff made him some millions, years on. What goes around…
