I love Sgt Pepper era pics!!

I don’t care what anyone thinks. The fact that Paul shaved his mustache before this event in significant! Perhaps it was his uncontentious way of telling the world that Pepper was his. All I know, is, it was not done randomly.

I feel those picture from the launch of SP sum up the Beatles.

Aside from the significance of these pictures and what they meant to the world, I think the clothing was the coolest. John in particular. When I picture John in my head these pictures taken at Eppys flat where so f^*king cool! Right down to the Celtic pouch, Afghan jacket etc. These guys were in their prime and it showed.

    Peace love and SP

I love Sgt Pepper era as well. You can SO tell they’re rocking the whole world at this point. And they’d just created the greatest album of all time, and everyone knew it.

Although, I have to say – I think Paul looks the coolest!

hey chris, paul has admitted in interviews that he did that deliberatly to set himself apart from the other lads, same thing with the final photo shoot at johns house. a friend.

  6. Chris says:

Wow! anonymous Can you tell me where I might find that interview? I wonder if the other Beatles were a bit miffed?

1967 was an incredible year for us fans who followed the boys in london. they were recording a lot, then editing magical mystery tour, we saw them so many times that year. and they looked soooo cool, i love those clothes to death. it was an amazing time to be in london and be a beatle fan, that’s for sure, and i feel very fortunate that i was crazy enough to leave my very comfortable family life in rio de janeiro at age 15 to be a maid in london. just hearing john say “goodnight, luv!” with that huge smile was enough to melt my teenage heart…

  8. Chris says:

Lizzie that’s amazing! Do you have a website? Are you on Facebook?

  9. Sophie says:

    Wow Lizzie, that’s incredible!!
I just hate that I had the misfortune of being born in 1992!! I know if I had been in the 60s – where I feel I was SUPPOSED to be – I would have been outside Abbey Road too, trying to get my own “goodnight luv!” … that story literally made my heart stop.

  10. lizzie says:

sorry, chris and sophie, i hadn’t seen your posts. yes, i am on facebook, just go ahead and add me.

Um, are Paul & Ringo holding hands?
John looks incredible–and he looks so happy (compare to pics during White Album period) Love John’s look, sideboards, reddish hair, kickin ‘stache and Natl Heath glasses. He was way beyond cool. Lizzie, you are admired–I would love to talk to you for an hour or two about your experiences…

I’d never noticed Ringo’s and Paul’s socks from that day. Heh.
