Beauty and the Beast
May 18, 1967?
LOL, look at paul telling another drummer what to do.
These were taken at Olympic Studios, Barnes, London – same session as the pic you posted a while back of Paul and a floppy-hatted Keith Richards. The guy in the middle of that particular shot is “Stash” (aka Prince Stanislaus Klossowski de Rola), a Swiss aristocrat who hung around the Stones circle into the 70s. These pics were taken by Michael Cooper during the Stones’ “Satanic Majesties” sessions.
One thing for sure is that you can see that Glynn Jones is the engineer the way he set the mics on Charlie’s drum kit
Does anyone know what Stones’ song this is that Paul is adding percussion to? It’s long been rumored that both John and Paul recording backing harmonies for both sides of the Stones’ Dandelion / We Love You single, but I’ve never heard of Paul adding percussion to either of those songs or any other Stones track from ’67. Anyone know?
