did you see the pix of him sailing in rio? they’re in my facebook page. my friend arranged everything – the lucky bastard!
How where the concerts, Lizzie? Did a rendezvous occur?
concerts were fab, since, the fans were AMAZING and did some great things that paul & band enjoyed a lot. you can see videos and photos on my facebook page. no, the rendezvous did not occur, again. i am about to give up. tried in 1990 when he came to maracanã stadium, last year in são paulo and this time. i just can’t get anywhere near him. if i could spare the $1.600.- for a hot sound ticket, maybe i could hold a sign saying “i sang with you” and he would notice me, but at age 59, 11 months and 28 days (tomorrow, 29, is my 60th birthday – now i will be officially old!), i just can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money on a concert ticket. some of my friends are in debt for the next couple of years since paul came to south america twice in 6 months – thank god for credit cards!
Happy Birthday, Lizzie. You have some amazing stories!!! Enjoy your day.
Happy Birthday, Lizzie. I am so much looking forward to your book.
thank you ann and since: i just came back from my party, it was awsome! tons of friends, great food and beautiful gifts! xx

hi mark, thank you so much but… i am from rio de janeiro, brazil, and this is where i live. i lived in london from february 1967 to late october 1969. and in new york from 1984 to 1994.
Happy Birthday Lizzie, Thank God there is someone here not too far from my age. I am 65, I think I am the oldest Beatle fan on this blog. LOL
Lizzie … Happy Birthday & many, many more!
I’ll be 54 on the 4th of June and have been a fan since I was 6 1/2. The Beatles have and are a passion of mine.
I absolutely love your stories so please publish them. You have had an ‘insiders’ look into the lives of the Beatles and you too Lizzie, have made history.
Thanks for sharing ….
Health & Happiness Always!
thanks everyone for your comments and bday wishes, but let’s not forget my dear british friend gayleen pease, who was there too during across the universe! gayleen is not active on the internet, so i get all the attention, but she is 50% of those vocals, just the same as me. a dear lady who has been a friend for all these years. as for my birthday, i invited some friends to a restaurant and 40 of them showed up – lord, i know a lot of people in this town! and i only invited them the day before. xx have to get back to work now. no, i have not found that rich husband to support me so i can just take care of my beatle photo addiction…
Picture yourself in a boat on a river…
what better to do than spend some time with Lizzie on her birthday. im sort of a stalker on these pages. i’ve enjoyed your comments over the years. happy birthday, a couple of days late.
it’s a pity you can’t say hi to paul.
ringo’s taking questions. was he at the atu session when you added vocals? I can’t remember. did you take any pictures with him?
hi debjorgo – don’t be a stalker – join our little gang of beatle photo addicts! i had a really long work day yesterday, didn’t even know about this ringo thing. yes, all four beatles were with gayleen and myself during the whole time (over 2:00 hours) we were in the studio and we didn’t take any pictures with them. mal (evans) took many with a 35mm camera, but they didn’t come out. sometime in the early 90′s i was at the grammys with my then musician boss (brazilian superstar milton nascimento) and ringo was standing right beside us. since i didn’t know if i would ever have a chance to speak to him again, i waited for him to finish talking to this person and spoke to him. i asked him if he remembered when two fans recorded with the beatles. he said he didn’t remember but asked if i was one of them, i said yes and he said something like “good for you”. he was nice.
Happy (belated) birthday Lizzie, i always enjoy reading your posts on these pages. What wonderful and precious memories you must have about your
times with the Fabs.
Happy birthday, Lizzie. I enjoy your posts and perspective as well. I’m soon to be 59, so am moving into old-agedom along with you! What song did you sing on? What an amazing experience you had.
@ Lizzie — I read some older posts and found the answer to my question.
Check out the water……so blue and rich!
