Hotel Syracuse, 9 October 1971, John’s 31st birthday party after the opening of Yoko’s This Is Not here exhibition. There’s a tape circulating from this night, bootlegged as ‘Let’s Have A Party’ among other titles. It was also filmed by Jonas Mekas. That’s Keltner on the left as far as I’m aware and Phil Spector and Allen Ginsberg were also among the guests present.

it is a fold out poster…the front describes all of their films…like Two Virgins, Film No.5…Film No.4(in taking the bottoms of 365 saints of our time)…that back is sequential photos of one of their films call “ERECTION”…

Nice piece, Kwai. I went to a memorabilia fair here in London about a year or so ago and there was several copies of the poster for the exhibition (originals not repros). Hummed and hahed about buying one but decided against it. I’ve never seen the dealer since. Some’s you win…

I have a picture of Yoko cake and a another Picture of Ringo and I think his wife that my Mom had and I am prety sure she was the one that decorated the cake for him. It was somewhere around Syracuse,NY that the party was because that is where she is from. If you could get a hold of me by my email i would love to hear about this night. Thanks
