Boggles the mind that the biggest band in the world would have such a primitive stage setup…
“Hey Mal, why did you bring the piano?”
And what’s going on with all the microphones?
Do they belong to the crew that released the great Beatles In Paris bootleg?
That was a decent recording that was definitely not an audience tape.
Were Ringo’s drums ever miked for amplification during LIVE performance?
So, was Pathe-Marconi’s mobile unit on scene to do the honors…
and where’s the multi-track master tape?
Merci, mon ami…
French TV taped the evening show, French radio the afternoon show. Neither taped by EMI. Did Pathe-Marconi have a mobile recording unit?
No frills! No monitors to speak of, no tuners, no effects. Just show up and PLAY. A lot of young aspiring rock n rollers could learn a lot from this scene.
I’m guessing the last verse of either All my Loving or Roll Over Beethoven ?
With the mic in front of Ringo I think that must be I Wanna Be Your Man
