OLIVIA, RINGO AND BARBARA 2011:

Recent photo’s seem to show Barbara has had a little ‘work’ done, just personally if so, i find that really sad, i think a Woman looks so much more beautiful with a little ‘life’ in, and on, there face. Just a personal view, each to there own.

Olivia is looking really good! I’ve always thought she was great.

  2. Marianne says:

I agree, and her sister seems to have too.

I wonder why Paul takes such heat for dyeing his hair and no one ever seems to say anything about the fact that Ringo obviously dyes both his hair and his beard. But he and Barb have always been LA types so it’s not surprising they would go the plastic surgery route. To each his/her own, but there does come a point when too much surgery makes your face look like a mask and Barbara is getting close to that point.

i agree, people should age gracefully (but i am not in the public eye). from the “love” photos a few days ago, it seems olivia has also had something done to her face. the problem is people don’t seem to know when to stop and start looking really weird. i hope they both stop where they are now.

  5. Lizzie says:

i think it’s fine that paul colors his hair, but i wish it would be closer to his original color. sometimes it looks too light!

  6. Leah says:

Mmmm.. could be a possibility! Either way, she is a gorgeous woman. So is Olivia! They both look great (including Paul and Ringo!).

  7. Fer says:

Ringo has dyed his hair ever since he was a young man. But it is innevitably the white root will show op any moment, he’s 70! How can. Somebody dye without being noticed, Im. 35 with grey hair, but – would hate to see my air unnatural.

  8. Tammy says:

Oh you know me Lizzie, i want them to keep going, i won’t be happy until the whole world looks like Jocelyn Wilenstein :-)

  9. Lizzie says:

i have to look up this jocelyn wilenstein – i don’t think she’s very popular here in rio, never heard of her. and you, miss tammy, are just the best!

  10. Elad says:

Jocelyn is known as the “Cat Lady” because of her appearance from all her surgery! One of the many things I admire about Paul is that he pretty much is allowing himself to age naturally. Though now I wonder whether that will change, now that he is with Nancy, because she does not seem to be a stranger to having some work done!

  11. Steve says:

I guess if all you have going for yourself is your looks, then its going to be a major concern for you as you age— and if you can afford it then you’ll have plastic surgery, which doesn’t actaully make you any better looking, it just makes you look like someone who can afford plastic surgery.

  12. My name's Betty says:

I’m surprised to have seen so many articles claiming paul and ringo to have had some work done. Do you guys believe they’ve done. When it comes to dying hair, it’s all about dying it to a natural color and ringo does it good.

Anyway, the only beatle person who we can confirm has had plastic surgery is maureen and it was noticeble but didnt look bad. That doesnt change my mind that people who age naturally show confidence and less vanity.

  13. Chelsea says:

@My name’s Betty: I agree with you. Although he so tragically died relatively young, that’s another reason I like George so much … I think he would’ve rather died than submitted to plastic surgery.

On a slightly related note, one of the many reasons I’m so sad George died young is because I think he would’ve ended up being an awesome old man. He would’ve been a kooky old guy living in his big house, puttering around his garden, and bitching about how no one uses real drums anymore on records (basically everything he actually did already, but just exaggerated). I’m sad the world missed out on 70/80/90 year old George.

  14. Mariana says:

If George had his teeth fixed so drastically, I don’t see how we can say that he would have “rather died” than submitted to plastic surgery.

  15. Another_Fan says:

I don’t know @Mariana. Having veneers doesn’t alter your face as drastically as botox or a facelift would. I mean it’s just your teeth. I don’t think that falls under the plastic surgery category.

  16. Chelsea says:

Yeah, I agree. His teeth were pretty terrible, so I really don’t think it’s in the same category as plastic surgery, although I suppose it was a cosmetic enhancement.

  17. Mariana says:

I don’t mean to say it’s the same thing. But if he didn’t hesitate to make a drastic change on something that bothered him about his appearence, I can easily see him doing plastic surgery.

  18. Mariana says:

Oh, and something else: after 1963, he never had his hair cut too short again, because of his ears.

I guess we pretty much have two good examples that George wouldn’t think too much about having some work done if something about his appearence bothered him, so let’s quit thinking too high of him, as if he’s above human’s weakness, shall we?

  19. Another_Fan says:

I still don’t see what’s so drastic about getting veneers. About his hair, just do a google search to see you are dead wrong. Where did you hear that he disliked his ears? Never heard that one before..

I personally can not imagine him getting a botox injection, I just can’t! But if he would’ve, so what? I wouldn’t think lesser of him. I wouldn’t think lesser of Paul or Ringo either. Unless the results made their faces less attractive! No one said George was above human weaknesses: Every George fan knows that he was quite loose with women in the past and has done drugs, so there you go.

I am really curious Mariana, what’s your beef with George? You only post negative comments about him, what gives?

  20. Mariana says:

Welll, maybe you’ll have to ask a bunch of people what are their beef with Paul as well…

  21. Another_Fan says:

But that makes no sense.. If people talk smack about Paul then you should defend him. However all you do is point your finger at someone else, in this case at George. If someone would say that Paul never pays his taxes then you, instead of actually commenting on what was said, would say that George was even worse! And you usually end with: He wasn’t perfect/ a saint/ above anybody else.

I think that this isn’t about people bashing Paul. I think you just seriously dislike George but won’t admit it. It’s okay if you don’t like him. But your a bit too negative, lighten up.. this is such a fun blog..

  22. My name's Betty says:

Yea, poor George was self-conscious about his appearances at times like being too skinny and maybe his teeth and ears.
I can sympathize with him being the quiet shy one, maybe because I’m a Pisces too with a very close birthday.

  23. Carol says:

I think you’re right. Interesting that Olivia didn’t have any work done until recently. I doubt she would have done any while George was alive. I have a hunch he would have thought it vain and a wasteand as his illness and the stabbing incident so aged him, I think had he been vain, he would have had a lift at some point in his later years, but didn’t. It’s one thing to have problem teeth which required caps and another to have cosmetic surgery, or I think that would’ve been his thought. I don’t think we should judge. If having work, whether something as minor as Botox or as radical as a face lift, makes anyone feel better about themselves, that’s their decision.I do think that Olivia, who I always thought was rather plain before, looks wonderful now… very pretty and very relaxed; so it has obviously done a lot for her. I think she looks way better than she has ever looked. As for Paul, with his money, wouldn’t you think he’d get his hair dyed by a professional who’d know the right color for him and not use home hair dye which turns his hair that ghastly red color? Ditto his face work. He obviously had a brow lift, but he left those awful jowels and it looks terrible. Now that he has done it, he kind of needs to have the bottom half of his face done to match the top half.
