NOW AND THEN:

I dont ever usually post links to Youtube clips, it makes the page a bit heavy and draggy, but this one is too cool not to.

John left behind quite a few songs in demo form that he never got to record in the studio, one such track was titled ‘Now and then’.

Someone has recorded a cover of it, and it’s stays pretty faithful to Johns arrangement and lyrics, and i have always loved this song, and i love this version of it.

I can just imagine Johns recording of this being on the album after Milk and Honey that John and Yoko were already planning.

I found this video a couple of years ago, and it blew my away. Obviously done with much love by a true fan. This song is heartbreaking and lovely… hope it’s true that Paul will release a finished version.

    That photo… WOW!

Very beautiful sound and it’s been done with nothing but love and respect. The guy has taken John’s demo and expanded it to a full band sound. Let’s hope that Paul and Ring (and Yoko and Olivia) get round to realising that releasing the song will not damage the reputation of the band members collectively or individually.

Have to disagree with my lovely George – the song is not “crappy”.

Tammy, you have a Facebonk page? I never nude that! ;)

Sounds very similar to the verses in Roy Orbison’s “You Got It”.
