Ooohh… way cool that one! Thanks for putting it up.
I always thought there was a natural, organic progression between Beatles circa ’62 ’63 ’64 & ’65. But everything was on the brink of changing forever in 1966 and I find it shows in photographs from that year. I love it.
My bet is that they are playing “Day Tripper”. “Nowhere Man” has Paul and George sharing a microphone for the backup vocals. The same on “I Feel Fine” and Paul & John share one on “If I Needed Someone”. “I’m Down” would have John and George sharing a mic if John wasn’t on the keyboard.
Alex, in all pix that I’ve seen from this gig, George is playing the SG.
Don’t know if he would have changed guitars. I don’t think he even changed for “If I Needed Someone” as I’ve seen pix of him singing lead with the capo affixed. Not based on fact, just evidence.
Classic pic. To put in the “one more photo I wish there was a poster of” list.

Beatles at their Prime…………..
Nothing better, still kicking ass playing live.
Nothing better then Lennon/Mc Cartney at a microphone.
What would they be playing ?
Paperback Writer /Rain ?
Nowhere Man or something else from Rubber Soul ?
Day Triiper ?
@alex… good question, here’s the setlist for that show
I Feel Fine
Nowhere Man
Day Tripper
If I Needed Someone
I’m Down.
If I was a betting man, I would pick Nowhere Man
Thanks mate.
Pete,
Talk about being on top of your game.
What a playlist.
No one was better

One more question , what guitar would George be playing @ this point,
The Epihone or the Gibson SG ?
Curious in Da Bronx
