Really? It’s one of my least favorite Beatles photos. John looks so cheesy here. And they both look like they’ve got too much makeup on. Why do people think it’s so great?
I remember first seeing this pic in The Story Of Pop magazine encylopedia series back in 1973-74. One of a series of colour shots taken backstage at the Scala Theatre during AHDN filming.
SO many memories!!, that was the magazine i had Datey, and it was this pic that grabbed the attention of my young eyes, i’m almost prepared to call it that this is in fact my numero uno fave pic, if just for the memories alone. When my sister got married and i was twelve, i had to wear a suit, when i was asked what type, i slapped down the magazine on the table, turned to this pic. Unfortunately the closest i got was the colour of the suit, i still think a black velvet collar would have rocked.
Yeah it’s one of my favorites too

I love their smiles here, I think they’re adorable. : )
I’ve always loved this photo, too. Those suits were the bomb!

Black velvet is collars are too hip…
but check that difference in technique…
Middle ‘C’…
and a lot of chopsticks
Paul looks a little ‘chubby’ in this one or is it because it’s a close-up?
