Without question, John had the nicest feet in the Beatles, followed by George, Ringo, then Paul (he may have a pretty face, but his arched Skeksis claws should be hidden from view forever more).

THANK YOU for this one, Miss Tammy! I must be a very bad John fan: I never noticed his feet before… and I did see him barefoot at Kenwood once, in 1968. But then, there was SOOOOO MUCH to look at, something had to escape me! That smile, you just couldn’t look away from it…

  4. David says:

Tammy….I didn’t know you were a fan of The Shaggs!

  5. Cara says:

I never noticed his feet till about six months ago…

  6. Tammy says:

The Shaggs are my all time favorite band! :-)

My pal foot foot is #1 on my funeral CD :-)

  7. Tammy says:

Cara and Lizzie, it’s never too late to discover a foot. I’m quite an officianado, and my grading of The Beatles extremities is without question 100% correct. John wins by a mile.

  8. debjorgo says:

John wins by a mile and by a foot!

  9. Lizzie says:

I don’t feel so bad now, Cara… at least I’m not the only one known to neglect John’s beautiful feet! And I have to check out these The Shaggs – never heard of them! But then… none of you has ever heard of Edu Lobo, yet I adore his music. Cultural differences!

  10. Kwai Chang says:

There is no music more beautiful than a baby screaming in a restaurant…
    It always makes me laugh.
    No one else likes it.
    Ho hum…
    Life is short
    the afternoon is long.
    See…it really is me!

  11. Tammy says:

Oh yes Lizzie, you MUST cast your gaze down towards John’s feet. On a foot scale they’re quite perfect. Poor Paul, i guess things had to even out somewhere.

  12. Cara says:

Google “Paul’s feet Jamaica 1972” for an unexpected surprise. A whole new sub-genre of Beatles photography fascination has just opened up…

  13. Kwai Chang says:

They don’t really look like fat Elvis feet…

  14. Lizzie says:

I will, Miss Tammy! But I dare not Google what Cara suggested, or this apartment will not be clean for tonight, when I have Beatle friends coming over. By the way, I started the pre-sale of my Portuguese language book sending e-mails to 520 friends here and it’s going pretty well. Web page being worked on by my cousin. Rio de Janeiro must be the capital of crazy weather: it was 18 celsius a few days ago, then it turned to 36 and today is 26. From comforter to air conditioning in a couple of days!

  15. Nick_L says:

Congrats to you Lizzie on the book!

  16. Lizzie says:

    Thanks Nick_L!

The gun is always cleaned and polished…
before it is loaded to kill.
The soldier believes he is fighting for a cause…
but, it was long ago forgotten.
    He can’t remember…what’s that you’re sayin’?
    The pound is sinking?
    Lie down wonder lust
The General has ordered us to kill.
    If you were here today…
    Long time passing
    long time ago
where have all the flowers gone
    I know that you’d know.

Say, say, say what you mean
just look at my face these tears ain’t dryin’!

Thank you Cara, I now have a new Facebook cover pic! PS your comment about not noticing his feet was an AHDN ref wasn’t it? :) Congrats on your book launch Lizzie, I can’t wait to order the English language version, no matter how long it takes. It will be all the sweeter for the wait <3

  19. Lizzie says:

Thanks Shirley, I truly appreciate your interest in my book! I will have an e-book of the Portuguese version done pretty soon, so if anyone just wants to looks at the photos… you can buy that until the English one is out. I have a feeling I will have to find a publisher for the English version. It’s hard ebough to single-handedly take care of all the orders here in Brazil, imagine when I’m dealing with the entire rest of the world!

  20. Cara says:

@Shirley – Very good, yes it was! Well, today John and his luvly feet would have been 75… what a lovable ol’ grump he would have been! Can you believe Sean is turning 40??!

  21. Tammy says:

I know you’re busy with your book Lizzie, I’ve been very distracted and haven’t congratulated you yet.

Once you finish with your book, i’ll sign you up to one of my many trade recognized, courses at the ‘Tingle interwebs online university’.

Just this year i have started teaching a masters degree on the feet of The Beatles, it’s a four year course, but at the end of it, you come out as a ‘Doctor of Beatle podiatry’.
