Does anyone know if Olivia will be doing book signings in multiple cities, or were those pictures from the Telluride film festival?

  2. Tammy says:

At the film festival i believe.

  3. BLJ says:

I can’t wait to get the book. I have already pre-ordered from Amazon.

  4. Chelsea says:

  5. Kwai Chang says:

  6. Kwai Chang says:

how strange…the child at Friar Park???
(all things must run of the mill)

  7. Joy says:

I can’t wait for the book either. I’ve already pre-ordered it from B&N. If anyone is interested (and I know there are alot of HARRISON fans out there) but LIFE magazine is publishing a 10 year anniversay of George’s ‘passing’ due out on October 18 – it’s titled LIFE REMBERING GEORGE HARRISON 10 YEARS LATER and then on November 15 a new book titled WORKING CLASS MYSTIC – A SPIRITUAL BIOGRAPHY OF GEORGE HARRISON. So for the next few months I will be (and hope all of you as well) can take advantage of all these wonderful publications coming out and that’s not including the latest one GEORGE HARRISON – LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD.

  8. Chris says:

Where was Olivia doing the book signing?

  9. Chelsea says:

This picture is from his trip to Tahiti i 1964. :)

  10. Kwai Chang says:

    thanks, Chelsea

  11. Leah says:

EEK! Pre-ordered mine already. Has anyone had a chance to look through the Rolling Stone article with George on the cover? Amazing photo of George and Dylan playing tennis. Well, it’s actually badminton but the article says tennis haha

  12. C3BlueNote says:

Yeah, Leah…great article. Way too short, but Olivia’s comments on George’s dimming view of touring as a Beatle is really eye opening. He alluded to the touring in the Anthologies and how the fans gave their unrelenting adoration and the Beatles gave back their nervous systems. Pure George. Honest as the day is long….he is missed.

  13. Chelsea says:

@Joy: Thanks for the info about the Life magazine retrospective! October 18th is my birthday, so that’ll be a great way to celebrate! :)

The RS article was way too short, but I appreciated the pictures (especially the one of him and Dylan playing tennis … hilarious, considering they were wearing jeans).

I can’t wait for the season of George to really get going! :)

  14. Joy says:

You’re very welcome Chelsea. I can’t wait to add these to my collection.

  15. Chelsea says:

Me too! I’m sorely tempted to get the deluxe DVD package, even though it’s quite expensive … It has a 90-page booklet, and all these special features.

  16. Chelsea says:

Kwai: the greenhouse photo is from Friar Park, and the other guy in the picture is George’s head gardener (I think his name is Maurice, but I’m not sure).

  17. Lynn says:

The George photos are all posted at with along with information about them.

  18. Sam says:

Oh my gosh, I have to get this book! To Amazon!

  19. Ishie says:

I enjoyed reading the Rolling Stone article… well done, albeit too short. I give Olivia & Dhani credit for being candid about George. They want to celebrate George the man …. multi-faceted & multi-talented!

Looking forward to the book & the film.

  20. Chelsea says:

Ishie, I agree. I much prefer the way Olivia and Dhani are handling George’s affairs than the way Yoko is handling John’s. But that’s a whole other can of worms! :)

  21. Ishie says:

Chelsea … thanks for your response.

Olivia & Dhani are doing a beautiful job. They clearly show and share George with all of us in an open & honest way. First & foremost, he was human and had highs & lows and in-betweens. There was dark & light in his life and that contributed to who he was as a person. It strengthened his character & his beliefs. I admire him because he never stopped trying to see the beauty in life and in love.

  22. Joy says:

Purchased the LIFE magzine yesterday at B&N. It’s a really good publication.

It’s just so hard to believe it’s been 10 years already!

    George you are missed terribly
