Beautiful colour from ’65, Tam. Not seen the top one (with the Beatle mascot) from Blackpool Night Out (1 August) or middle from Ed Sullivan Show (Sat 14 September) nor the Paris shot of John and George (20 June). In other words, all three. Splendid!!
I was wondering what that piss weak puppet was
Do you mind? Do you mind?? That “piss weak puppet” is not a “Beatle mascot” but the one and only TIVVY, mascot of the weekly ITV listings magazine TV Times. Tivvy was the star of many TV promos and mag photos in this period, and the Beatles were fortunate to be photographed with such a great personality. This is a particularly fine unseen shot, and — as Tivvy would have proudly boasted — IN COLOUR.
Great shots, Greg! Thanks for posting!
TIVVY looks like a cat that’s been run over by a truck!
My apologies to Tivvy and to you, Jpage
