i recently found susan wood’s website and was stunned by the beauty of these john and yoko photos she took. there i found out she also took that photo of john sleeping (or pretending to be…) which is one of my fave ones of him ever. very talented lady!
The photos are beautifully capture the essence of John & Yoko. The early photos of John & Yoko are very revealing. ‘She’ is where he wanted to be and there is a glimmer in his eyes that always suggested that he found what/who he was looking for!

These pics were taken for a spread in the March 18, 1969 issue of LOOK magazine. The streetdate was probably at least 30 days earlier. So, they were available mid February…minus at least 30 production days…
My guess is early January. Otherwise you’ll need a ride in that car or on that horse…

I’m guessing October / November time but when did they move back into “Kenwood”? Early December 1968?

They moved back to Kenwood after the bust at Montagu Square in October. I’d date these to late Nov- early December time.
