Apple announces release of long-forgotten Aspinall-McCartney single “What The @#$% Am I Wearing”. The song, written the morning after a drunken midnight raid at the Apple Boutique by Neil and Paul, was originally blocked from release by John Lennon, who reportedly vowed “I’ll put meself starkers on a record sleeve before I allow that sh*ite to be heard!”.

Apple has not confirmed if the vinyl release of the song will contain a cover photo. Sources close to the company have said they hope not.

Interesting story mcarp555…This is one of the several photos taken by my New York friends Helaine and Judy. You may have seen the one of John and Paul sitting down and the one of them with Magic Alex and Neil by the Alice statue. There are others. I have them all. They were the only fans to find out J & P would be in Central Park. Another story I would like to tell when I eventually start putting together books with stories and photos by fans. But first… I have to get back to the translation of my own book and find an international publisher for that (I have to say I have one possibility coming up).

    Do you believe in magic?
    Then, how about lawn gnomes?
A soldier, sailor, tinker, tailor, plowboy
    waiting to hear the sound
of silk yardage being ripped down the middle
whizzers and scissors and two eye-patches
    somehow we found ourselves
under the bridge over the river on the morning after the night before
and not a knitting needle in sight
    knit one pearl two
    dougie millings where are you?
    MMT Magicians…check your garment tags
one of your wands is a crochet hook.
    Neil: “and, look…NO hat!”
