    Great photo! Anyone have details?

  2. Fab says:

Taken 10/74 at the taping of “Speaking Of Everything”, Cosell’s radio show on which John was a guest.

  3. Nick says:

    How ironic!

  4. Kristen says:

My guess is that it’s from the 6/10/74 Walls and Bridges interview that’s mentioned on the Kenwood Blog.

  5. A Car And A Room And A Room And A Room says:

There was a similar pic from this day in the Random Notes section of “Rolling Stone” magazine showing John with his feet up on Cosell’s desk – and saying how much they hit it off which i guess lead to John’s live appearance on MNF in December.

    I’m with Nick…
    Super-Irony
(Cosell: “I’m just telling it like it is”)

Remember when it happened, a L.A. Ram game ( much before the Rams moved) .
Howard Cosell seems to be very instrumental in JL’S immigration case behind the scenes.
Another good guy in JL’S life who did good things without any fanfare, just like you are supposed to do.
Urban legend has it that Ronald Reagan who was gov. of CA. at the time was explaining the game to John.

@Fab or anyone else… Happen to have a link to the interview? Someone posted it on YouTube, but their account has been closed. What bootlegs is it on, anyone know?

If I could have met John at any time in his life(post Beatles) I think I would choose the 1974-75 era(providing that he was sober). He just seemed to have returned to the funny John that he was known for when the Beatles first arrived. It seems like with Yoko out of the picture he could be himself. I know that he would disagree with me completely! Despite the personal problems he was dealing with in his marriage he seemed so fun and happy in all of the interviews from this period. Even right after he and Yoko reunited and he was still giving interviews promoting “Rock And Roll” he seemed real fun.

Cheers, Datey… but I was looking for a link of the “Speaking of Everything” interview that John did with Cosell, which is where this photo apparently came from.
