That’s a cute one of Cynthia! I always thought that if Cyn got a makeover like Sandy did at the end of Grease!, her and John might still be together.

  2. Kwai Chang says:

    Come Targa-ther!
(or is that an old Speedster)

  3. Targa’s are removable roof panels. Not a speedster either, just a 911, which is what passerby’s should be dialing on the phone!

  4. Jeannette says:

Cynthia already did the makeover bit when she and John got together with dying her hair and changing her clothes from goody-two-shoes to another level. Maybe she should’ve changed back??? John would’ve stayed…oh well

  5. lizzie says:

she also had her nose done. as much as i like cyn, i don’t think john would have stayed. yoko fascinated him in many different levels, i can totally understand why he fell in love with her.

  6. Susan says:

Get off the roads, John’s driving! :)

  7. hey you says:

I don’t think John would’ve stayed either. It was over before Yoko showed up. He just never felt like he had a reason to leave his comfortable life until he met here.

  8. Kwai Chang says:

    thanks for the support
happiness is a warm two-tone leather seat
but this is too scary…get a chauffeur

  9. Chris says:

What was is about John’s driving that made him so bad? I have heard from numerous sources he was a bad driver.

  10. Tammy says:

It wasn’t just cars, John was infamous for just being hopeless when it came to manual dexterity, i remember reading a story from someone who spent ages watching John try to play a record on stereo, he just couldn’t figure. I feel John’s pain :-)

  11. Cara says:

…not to mention that he was blind as a bat. Okay, I know he wore his glasses, but apparently he never read road signs. Guess he was born to be a New Yorker!

  12. James says:

I love the John gags on this subject, its put about quite alot by those in the know that John had alot of difficulties with his manual dexterity (as mentioned Miss Tammy!) even his guitar playing has been called into question on a few occassions that he wasnt really too hot, but then John always said he wasnt, but its just funny to have him as a rock and roll Mr Magoo!makes him a more loveable guy for it!

  13. A Car And A Room And A Room And A Room says:

As Paul said, John couldn’t change a fuse in a plug. At least I’m with him on that!

  14. Ishie says:

John was unsettled with domesticity … although he was accustomed to being a homebody, he also needed intellectual stimulation and although he had it professionally he also craved it personally and he found that in Yoko. That is not to knock Cyn in any way. She was a good wife & mother but unfortunately & sadly, John was moving in a direction that was never going to include Cyn & Julian. Numerous interviews & articles have quoted John’s description of meeting Yoko: “My God, this is different from anything I’ve ever known. This is something other. This is more than a hit record, more than gold, more than everything. It is indescribable.”
With that being said, how could Cyn or anyone for that matter compete. History was being written and the Ballad of John & Yoko had begun!

  15. A different Jennifer says:

Cyn, are you sure you want to risk your life like that?

  16. Diann says:

Haha oh John. As for the comments here, I honestly believe that even if Yoko didn’t enter the picture John and Cyn wouldn’t have worked out. Even Paul said that there was a strain on their marriage early on and part the reason for that was that they were just 2 completely different people. Cyn wanted John to be a home body and to settle down and that just wasn’t the type of person he was. As Paul said it was the kiss of death after that.
