Stand by Datey, i have another photo from the same day i’ll post soon, John is with Peter Boyle. I’m thinking ‘maybe’ this was Peters wedding when John was best man .. just a thought.
That last one is touching. From the same photo session that produced the “naked” Rolling Stone cover. Taken by the great Annie Leibovitz on the morning of December 8…
John and Peter Boyle was one great combination. Would have loved to hang out with them one night for a few drinks. They must have been hysterical together.
Saw an interview with Peter Boyle right before he died and they asked him about John and he still got tears in his eyes.
Dr. Winston O Boogie and Young Frankenstein.
How could you go wrong………..
Peter Boyle’s wedding was Oct 21, 1977 so we are a couple of years out with the pregnant Yoko shot which must be Sept 1975.
My files tell me that sometime in early September J & Y attended a gala dinner in New York to launch ABC’s new television season (possibly from this day?). Thats all I know. Later in the month they attended a performance of the play “Same Time Next Year” in New York (which there are pics of). They also attended the New York film festival around this time. Thats all I have on J & Y in September 1975. Hope this helps.
Oooh .. okay, well the pic i have of John and Peter Boyle is from the same day as this pic was taken, now Peter was more film than TV back then, so maybe he took John and Yoko to this mysterious film festival .. CHIP!!??, where is this bloody bewk!!??
Question…the shot of John w/ Beard, Yoko w/ HeadBand and Mal Evans…is this from Live Peace In Toronto, Varsity Stadium? If so…One For The Money, Two for the Show…
Yes it is, George but I think it’s taken either at Toronto Airport or London Airport on their return from the festival. There’s a great pic of them artriving in Toronto and from memory, John is wearing the clothes (white jacket etc) that he wore onstage.
Thanks, Tam, for the John & Yoko fest. Any idea where the eleventh pic down – from 1975 when Sean was due – was taken?

On the third photograph they are playing Lennon’s 1965 Mellotron Mk II.
At Tittenhurst Park living room, Ascot.
