    Lizzie, you lucky ducky!
I have had that book on my wish list since it came out. I just can’t justify buying it, though. Hoping to find a cheaper used copy one of these days, but don’t think that will ever happen. :(
I guess I have to rely on sites like this one to enjoy little scanned tidbits from it. Hint, hint. :)

hi pete and since – and tammy and everyone else! the only reason i have it is because henry grossman photographed me, my friend denise and another fan – no one i know remembers her so she was definitely not a regular – sitting at the top of the steps, by the red door. the publishers sent me a copy. we were the only ones waiting for the boys that night. i wrote in my diary that a photographer from life magazine had taken our photo. what’s interesting, and tells me more about what an amazing professional henry is – is the fact that he took the photo of us from the inside. i guess most photographers would stand on the steps and take our photo from that angle. the book is extremely beautiful, and now i am literally DYING to see the new one, with 1.000 photos – mostly unpublished. if you consider i need two of brazilian money (real) to buy one dollar, plus the huge amount it must cost to mail it here… don’t think it’s going to happen. then again, maybe the “session fee” paul promised gayleen and myself that night will arrive in the mail, who knows? we’ve only been waiting 45 years (february 4th, 1968) by tomorrow. as for copying the whole book, i can’t do that. as a photographer, and as jealous as i am about my photos, i just can’t do that to someone else’s work. sharing stuff that’s already on the internet is ok.
