    Very nice!
Beatle Politicking in ’66 was very nearly an athletic sport…
Too bad the psychedelic Rolls Royce wouldn’t eventualize for another year. That would have been a great “more-popular-than” campaign coach. Cruising the vessel around Manila would have been extra special with a set of four radial tires made out of shoes. (inflate to 35 p.s.i. maximum unless vectoring to airport)…
We all live in a yellow pair of shoes…

We should all be thankful that Manila didn’t develop into an international incident complete with injuries or worse. Even more than that…I have always been thankful that Manila wasn’t everytown. The minimalist approach to security offered opportunity galore for the over enthused to throw all kinds of things at the Beatles. Jelly babies are fine…as long as they’re not made of lead(Pb)…In hindsight, Brian was severely lacking regarding the Beatles safety. I thought the old days in Hamburg would have provided plenty of examples to relate to Brian. George’s black-eye from the Cavern should have been the last time anyone got near them. Manila was a bomb with a dud fuse…did you say ‘sparks’?

So much living, so many incidents in such a condensed period of time, i really do shake my head.

    Obviously:
Not bowing to Imelda probably destroyed any hope of a Philippines Rhodes Scholarship…what pressure!!!
