Its always funny for me too see John with showbiz celebs, it really wasnt him was it?he nevers looks comfortable with any of em, just the serious artists and the odd rocker…he had more about him for sure!
Oh God, What could these two possibly say to one another ?

They look odd together. Or at least John looks quite uncomfortable.
Im sure John sensed the future, it was cosmetic surgery, david guest and all that Jazz..
Didn’t John once insult Judy Garland at a show or BBC performance?
..John insulted most showbiz types at some stage but ironically he apparently still felt drawn to an affar with Alma Cogan early in their career..I suppose opposites do attract, yeah John was capable of all contradictions possible, that was John and probably alot of us too.
I remember seeing Liza at Continental Airport in Newark, NJ. She looked like hell. She was overweight, dressed in black and looked like she was in pain. She was walking with a woman and holding on to a man’s shoulder. I looked at her and said “hey, Nancy Sinatra!” I do that when I see celebrities. They usually get a kick out of it: BUT NOT HER! SHE GAVE ME ONE OF THE DIRTIEST LOOKS I HAVE EVER GOTTEN! LOL!!! Liza is a real phony! She only smiles for the camera. But it’s only in front of the camera. At least that’s the way I see it. Maybe I caught her on a bad day.
I sure hope that she didn’t pass onto John the need for a Valtrex prescription.
Anyone have any idea when,where and why this was taken? I know there is a photo out there at the same gathering where Andy Warhol is kissing John, but this looks to be around ’78 or so. It didn’t seem like JohnandYoko did much showbiz shmoozing at that time. John probably conceded to take the photo ’cause Liza pressured him to.
Greg, I have a postcard of the photo you mentioned with Andy kissing John. In it Lennon is wearing the same outfit as he is here with Liza, plus his hair is unkempt in the same way. All signs suggest it was taken the same evening.
