This was a press conference in NYC re: Kyoko case – I have seen a newsreel of this as well but Hyacinth will have the correct date to hand.

Kinda rare this pic but I’m pretty sure its from Dec 1971 and probably a PC concerning the custody case although John is wearing the same exact clothes he wore at the reception for U Thant at the UN (Dec 15) where he performed “Imagine” but Yoko has different clothes. That was in the afternoon so they may have had a PC in the morning and Yoko changed clothes for the UN reception, anyway its on or very close to that day I’d say. Our “Lennonology” man would know for sure :)

  3. Guus says:

The Date should be December 14th.

  4. Fantastic work my little date nailers :-)

Hyacinth can attest, I’m my day I was the original Datey, I could nail a date down to the hour merely by looking at the length of a Beatles facial hair, alas, life got in the way . . along with about five thousand dance parties, paid clinical trials and a very accommodating judge, so my ‘Date powers’ have become somewhat clouded, so I’m glad some of you guys have been able to maintain a date standard, unequaled really in Beatledom.

And yes Guus is absolutely correct it Was Dec 14th for the UN thingy. In my archives I had the pic dated the 14th but in my “book” I had it down as the 14th (for whatever reason) which is where I looked first. So that’s helped a lot actually. Looking into it further I think this could have been a hastily put together PC to do with the Kyoko case as they had at least two or three trips to Houston within 2 weeks and still came up short and in my files theres no mention of any PC which is kinda odd knowing the Lennono’s rarely did anything without a camera in their face.

There’s a newsreel of this press meet somewhere on the web, Hitachi.
