    Isn’t that Germaine Greer?

  2. A Car And A Room And A Room And A Room says:

Can’t see Germaine there. That’s Maggie next to Paul and looks like Jane in the polka dot dress. Barry Miles, the co-owner of the gallery, is partly obscured behind the guy in the suit. Miles’ first wife Sue is in the floral pattered dress to the right.

    If that’s a girl named Sandoz…
    I’ll take 1,ooo mics …make it a dubble

  4. Lizzie says:

Great photo! I don’t think that’s Jane… The hair… And Maggie looks like she could be walking around Ipanema (beach here in Rio) with that outfit! She must have been really hot that day, no one else is dressed like that in the photo.

  5. A Car And A Room And A Room And A Room says:

Hi Lizzie, it would make sense not to have Jane and Maggie in the same room, knowing what we know, but then again it was the 60s…

  6. Kwai Chang says:

    Is that a Stoned Pony
    (or, just a different drum???)
The girl at the end of the table looks ‘muy linda’!

  7. Lizzie says:

You’re right, A Car… But I don’t think those two ever met. At least I never heard about it at the time.

  8. Sara S. says:

I don’t think that is Jane in the photo either–the hair just doesn’t look right. I am wondering about the young girl. How did she get in? And is she going to stop staring at Paul at any point?

  9. Erin says:

I don’t think that’s Jane; you can tell from the hair.

And A Car, yeah, I don’t think Paul would want to risk Jane and Maggie being in the same room.

  10. Kwai Chang says:

I wonder how many times Paul got the big, red ultimatum.
Jane: “That’s it, buster…get your stuff out of my parents house”
Paul: “Again??? Why don’t you let me!!!”
(Jane’s mom probably forbid the daughter to act blonde in the majestic abode).

Is that Peter Asher on scene? I thought maybe that was Linda Ronstadt jabbering with the other girl at the end of the table. “You and I travel to the beat of a different drum…can’t you tell by the way I run every time Paul makes eyes at me”. Was Cupid really Mike Nesmith? Amy Dolenz??? That won’t be till the 90’s!

  11. So, besides it being the sixties, why would someone be wearing a bikini to a reception?

  12. A Car And A Room And A Room And A Room says:

It was a very hot day? Ala sandals across a pedestrian crossing?

  13. Kwai Chang says:

Simple violation of the Unwritten Rule:
“If you want to remain welcome…don’t fish off of the company pier”

All the other stuff is just bait…

    (Salt water GAFFy)

  14. Nick D. says:

I kind of think that is Jane(her back to the camera).

  15. Kwai Chang says:

If that ISN’T Jane, she’s taking license in my view on multiple charges. But, if it is her, the tension must be but seconds old…and thick! If that’s not Jane, is Maggie there with Paul? Or, if that IS Jane, who’s the ass that likes fireworks enough to let Maggie in?

  16. Alpha Bitch says:

Haven’t read the other comments yet but Jane might be the one with her back to the camera. Also of note, notice the blonde woman in the upper right hand corner and how she bears a slight resemblance to Linda. Surreal…

  17. Alpha Bitch says:

“Party at the Indica. In the foreground, left to right: Barry Miles, Pete Simpson, Maggie McGivern, Paul McCartney, Kate Wallhead. Behind Paul is Binn Tivy. At the end of the table Christie Johnson and Sue Miles. Behind them stands Chris Hill (John Hopkins)”

Not Jane, above quote from Truth About the Beatles Girls. And I don’t think Maggie’s wearing a bikini, but a top and skirt. Why she’s wearing a belly baring outfit is I suppose due to her personal level of confidence and ’60’s fashion sense.

  18. Mark Ashworth says:

I think this is circa January 1966. George on Honeymoon, Ringo and John with wives on holiday….
